The Free and Open Source Stories Digital Archive Foundation (FOSSDA) announced an initiative to document the legacies of pioneering open source software developers through digital video archives.

Using the TheirStory platform, FOSSDA conducts remote interviews with early innovators, transcribing and indexing these oral histories to make them permanently accessible to educators, students, and scholars worldwide, preserving the human stories behind foundational technologies like Linux.
