UConn Today reports on Professor Fiona Vernal's use of TheirStory to help Connecticut communities preserve oral histories. Through collaborations with Connecticut Humanities and the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, the initiative provides free statewide access to oral history tools.

As of publication, over 107 projects had signed up, with roughly half actively conducting interviews and processing historical narratives.
